Kotinos Hotel derives its name from an ancient Greek term. "Κότινος" in Greek means "Olive Wreath," which was a symbol of the Olympic ideals for the Ancient Greeks. Therefore, the prize for the winners of the Olympic Games was a wreath made of olive branches (Kotinos). The olive branch symbolizes peace, victory, and purity.
Our hotel, which opened in the summer of 2021, is situated just 200 meters away from Aydincik (Kefalos) Beach, the most famous beach of Gokceada. With its 1200-meter length, golden-colored fine sand, Aydincik Beach is one of the most preferred beaches on the island during summer for its natural structure and seclusion, making it increasingly popular among surfers in recent years.
